Why May 15-17:  We are hoping to avoid snow, miss Mother’s Day, and still allow people to spend Memorial Day weekend with their families.  May offers exceptional hunting opportunities for Spring Turkey and Bear in Oregon.

Oregon Spring Bear season is draw only so register and make plans early so that you give yourself a shot at drawing a tag.  This is an opportunity for our Oregon based hunters to meet one another in person and host those coming in from out of state.

If traveling from out of state, consider adding a few days on the front end or backend of the weekend to partner up with others in the community for a spring hunt.

Spring turkey is OTC.  It appears you can buy a 3 day nonresident hunting license for $32.50 then each turkey tag runs $90 for a nonresident.  Limit is three birds in the spring but only one bird per day.  Learn More:  https://www.eregulations.com/assets/docs/resources/OR/25ORGB-LR2.pdf

The spring bear season is draw only.  Application deadline is February 10, 2026.    Draw odds are high but it is not 100%.  Nonresident bear tags will run just over $200 ($172 annual hunting license, $10 controlled hunt application fee, and $25.50 for the bear tag).  You are required to purchase an annual hunting license prior to being able to apply for the spring bear hunt so there is a chance you could be out nearly $200 without a tag.  The annual license would allow you to return for fall OTC fall bear tag, mountain lion, blacktail, and even elk for some areas or seasons.

HuntLeague has invited a handful of our partners to participate in the RYDR Cup.  So you will have the opportunity to meet people from the incredible companies that have supported our community and leagues through the years in a small and intimate environment.
